I agreed with the principle, Prada, in that Basil was "off". I did not agree with the method. I used it as a point in favour of Rise as I feel it's more important him being on the same page than it is him using the correct methods to convey those points.

To put it another way.

Rise says he believes X, but uses something I don't think too highly of.
I also believe X.
My point is us both believing X is something that makes me lightly Town read Rise.
This does not mean I like how he conveyed his belief of X.

 

Overall issues with the host should be kept private or reported to a mafia manager in my eyes. Since Rise, you and me all are playing, he should have talked about it with Cow. Not that I agree with his big problems since I prefer this extension. Allows me to be here around EOD.

 

I know that but to let people know what actually happen. I'm not the one who request for time extension, its SK.

When you're being a host you need to keep yurself always available.

What exactly about Basil was off? You mentioned him calling you out for your playstyle, but I don't think it's anything major in Basil's case. As of now Basil doesn't seem to do anything overly scummy or is off somehow. For me it's the normal Basil, but a bit more active.

So you agree that Basil off. Great. That being said you didn't have any thoughts on how to question Rise on it? Where he exactly gathered his tonal reads from?

Another note on Ratchet. If he flips scum, we can rule out Ans and SK as his scummates I guess. He obsesses over perfect victories, so it's very unlikely that they are teammates.

I covered this earlier. I said him feigning some kind of surprise at how I was treating... Panda, I believe, was off, as he should know better than most that that is how I do it. It felt disingenuous to me, like he wanted to seem clueless when a number of people knew he wasn't.

Well that's the thing with tonal reads. It can be from literally anything that can be framed to "feel off", so knowing which post it was that triggered that for Rise means relatively little to me. It could be one post, a handful of posts or every post. It's so easy to fake as scum that no matter what he said that triggered it, it wouldn't help me read his alignment any better. Now, even though Rise did vote over it, if he started pushing the lynch on that basis then I'd have an issue. He didn't. I figure I'll be able to read Rise sooner or later better if he starts posting more on the strength of his claimed thought processes, but for now due to me agreeing with him on a number of points (and vice-versa) I'm happy to put him down as a light town read.

 

WTF, going to try and point out some things about Ratchet in this post that I was going to do before.

Prada seems to think that Nick was PLed. I don't agree with that sentiment, but it would be really curious to know what your actual read on Nick was. I know myself I will not compromise to lynch a Town read so would like to know your thoughts on that. Also if you could point out any read you had on Nick throughout D1 that would be need to know.

Regardless of what others people read is on a player, this kind of info should be pretty peripheral to YOUR read on that player. You didn't say "My Town reads find Nick Scummy so I am kinda just going to agree with them" you said "some people were Scum reading Nick, so I unvoted to get a lynch." I can see a Scum perspective in this knowing that Scum want a lynch prolly more than Town in that situation given Nicks flip.

Really? No concern at all knowing we have over a quarter of our Town dead on D2??? And I really don't like the bold at all. It seems to be greatly minimizing Towns position to win this game. If by D3 we lose another 2 Townies, that brings us to leaving only a little over half of our whole Town. It could easily be over by D4 depending on Kill power this game.

Weak point here (admittedly), but why are you pointing out that you do this as either alignment instead of saying "All you have seen from me is me doing this as Town?" IMO, I only am selective who I engage with in the very early portion of a game. Diversifying your pushes and stances gets you a lot further in the game of Mafia than simply focussing on just a few players. So if this is not Scummy, it seems like suboptimal play at least. When I am Town I am kinda a maniac and I push all kinds of different shit so that when/if I die, it gives Town a lot more to work with.

"Light hearted" and "humor" is not the way I would describe it. I would describe it kinda the opposite, at least from my perspective. It was basically "dick measuring" as you called it. How is "dick measuring" light hearted and humorous? It seems more like a serious conversation than a humorous one. So while arguing experience isn't something that necessarily leads to a read, it very well can be something that is heated. I saw it much this way and judging by the mods reaction to the whole thing, I think they agree with me here.

Yeah, this reads a bit fake to me. Globear isn't saying you should just post based on what they had to say about you, but about Globears content as a whole. It seemed pretty obvious what Globear was asking, and you completely sidestepped the point focussing instead on defending yourself instead of giving a rundown on Globears content and give a read on then, which I am pretty sure what Globear was asking about.

This seems completely over the top coming from a tonal standpoint. Why make such a big deal about this? You could have just said "its a he said she said, not useful" but instead you decide to go in depth on something that really doesn't say much.
