What is the best anime to watch for a new person?

I was wondering what would a good anime to watch for a new person as I do not know what is popular and what is not.

 

I'd say Inuyasha, it's a pretty good anime for a first.

 

I'd recommend:

- Studio Ghibli Movies
- Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
- Death Note
- Cowboy Bebop
- Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
- One Punch Man
- No Game No Life
- Code Geass
- Psycho Pass
- Noragami
- Your Lie in April

And some more if needed.

 

Prince of Tennis and Attack on Titan

 

The only thing might of been DragonBall: Z

 

Attack on titan, DBZ and one piece. Would recommend to start with the former since it's short (37 episodes) and is of remarkable quality.

Any of the Ghibli Movies, Cowboy Bepop & Code Geass are solid recommendations to start you off imo.

The rest in Arc's list are also really solid titles.

As for stuff that people would probably never recommend on this forum - Cardcaptor Sakura & Full Moon wo Sagashite. They're girly animes, but they're two of my favourites.

Trigun and Cowboy Bepop are in a category of their own for retro space cowboy style shenanigans, def watch
Can't go wrong with Arc's suggestion of Code Geass, Death Note, or Tengen Toppa either.

By the time you watch those you should know more or less what you're into, and can play around with watching random things, watch an episode or two if you hate it move to another series and so on.. or just ask again what to watch.
