Normal Game Thread Full Metal Panic!: Fighting Boy Meets Girl Mafia

so, summing up

i'll try to go through this as clearly as possible, as if i'd be explaining this to children, to be sure any kind of misunderstanding can be cleared up. So bear with me.

it's yesterday. sk was still a mystery to me, so i nonchalantly drop there a question to make him do some talk.

to be fair, this did happen. I missed his question and i replied some time later to the same question placed by another player. I wasn't playing precious or anything, i just missed it. I realized as much just a few moments ago, going to check before the whole pantomime.

now this was from a few minutes ago. sk was back and said explicitly he'd be answering questions, so i went back to it. Not before pointing out (kind of jokingly, as i thought was evident) how he didn't answer me the day before.

now, about the periphrasis, which if i want to put some faith in sk not having bad intentions, it can be the only thing that could have caused a misunderstanding.

so we have:
_ If i remember I asked you a similar question and you completely ignored it. Yet you come here and ask people about their reads instead.
_ you didn't answer me, so i won't answer you

aren't these two phrases basically equivalent? Whatever opinion you might have about it, it should be clear that my periphrasis didn't want to be fraudulent at the very least. I was just reminding him the juice of the conversation without all the hassle of going back and quoting the entire post for such a minor thing.

apparently we weren't on the same wavelength, though.

i can't tell for sk what he was thinking, but at that point i was sure he was either playing dumb, or he legitimately thought my periphrasis and his post meant completely different things. For all intents and purposes, i went all the way back and quoted the piece, so to finally convey the message and close the curtains after his eventual answer to the sweated question.

and this was what i got. All kinds of hysterical blabber, but NOT the shred of an answer to my banal question.

i was actually kind of upset at this reaction, and i just wanted to close the discussion asap because i was already seeing it becoming a childish push and pull about topics that weren't even remotely helpful for the game and getting less and less relevant.

at "what question", i got the absolute certainty sk was just arguing for the sake of arguing. The question, even in the case he managed to forget it after not even 24 hours in (after replying to that in a very inappropriate way, nonetheless), was sitting at one click of distance in the post i went back to quote for him.

so i decided to drop it right there. Little i knew this was going to be the topic of the day, in spite of how much i tried to confine it.

i'm not really proud of having taken the bait, so i'd appreciate moving on as soon as possible.

 

Also I was speaking on your scumhunting when talking about you not doing it proactively.

yeah i confirmed it as a joke once or twice already. again, kind of strange crimson just accepted crispickles claim without no resistance whatsoever. go back and read it if you dont believe me

what is there to disagree over? your assessment is sound, and actually looks plausible. its well thought out from both perspectives - me being townie, like ive been saying this entire dp, and me being mafia. had a problem with the elaborate theory of me being a mafia seeking out protection for a fellow mafia because its honestly the stupidest things ive read in my entire life and im not afraid to say so.

 

honestly speaking i was going to share my thoughts on the whole scum hunting thing more towards the end of dp so i had more info to go off of. but i was rushed by an impatient pou who apparently can even wait for more then 24 hours in a 72 hour dp game.

 

i think it's legitimate to see in my wagon an attempt to save daoko from her eventual scummates. Not by SK though, cuz the more time passes and the more i'm convinced he somehow just got it all wrong. I don't think it was an organized ploy, but maybe someone jumped in runtime to exploit the split from daoko's wagon. Namely, maple. I can't explain myself globear's vote, but she likes to switch a lot so she might just have tried to get a reaction from me.

so we might have gotten something good from this. We'll see.

Because it involved outing 2 of our most vital power roles in a psuedo dp1. Doctor can only protect one person and mafia only needs to kill them to stop it. So essentially is good for one phase, when we can just let the cop rock as they have until hit, and just ask doc to protect who they think is most deserving of protection.

The assessment kinda gets mitigated a bit if you are a PR.

 

@SK If you're town stick to daoko and don't get baited so easily into splitting votes up and making majority difficult again. You're not helping anyone, Crisp is on the list same as Prada. Daoko dies, they die. Easy. Why do you think everyone is running circles around protecting daoko? Main scum, probably the killing role of mafia team, imho.

Globear is already outed. It's only a matter of time before she is dead. I'd agree, if she hadn't already fucked herself over by revealing she was doc/guardian. I also only mentioned cop as an example of how town alliance is powerful - not as a 'this is a thing we must absolutely do'. At this point, Globear's death by mafia is only a matter of time, and she might as well spend her night actions protecting confirmed townies in the crazy event that mafia SOMEHOW doesn't chose to kill her off.

 

When I flip green, I sincerely hope you get lynched next.
