i've seen nearly 1000 movies in the last 5 years, which is when i started counting. Always been a big fan. Of course most were torrented. In theaters i watch maybe max 10-15 movies a year, only those that i want to see the most. Mostly because it's way too expensive.

have seen a ton of tv shows too, but never really counted because there's a lot i stopped half way through because they either became shit or i just lost interest.

 

Yeah, I can just watch movies on a movie website if I am really bored.
And how much is a movie in your country? Here a ticket is about 14-20 dollars.

 

about the same in the local currency, but imagine your movie costs $15 and you make $700 a month on average.

 

Hmm, that would be pretty good if you didn't live alone and was living with your parents, but yeah, living alone with that, that ain't too good .-.

i'm fine since my parents have a business and make well above the average, but that's still way too much money for a ticket. if you want popcorn and coke + money for the transport to get to the theater it's just insane. I've been going to the theater for a long time now and it's almost never full, not even half. The only time i've seen it full was for Star Wars and Fast&Furios movies. I went to watch Baby Driver yesterday, i was alone.

 

i mean it's about 7 euro here, but that's 14 in the local currency

 

does the ticket price ever depend on the kind of movie or...?

it's really not a good example either way because salaries and standart of living in general is wildly different from here and the US

it's not exactly a blockbuster movie so yeah.

so assuming you see IT in theaters you'll probably see a little more than half the theatre full.

 

idk i saw The Conjuring 2 opening day and it had people, but nothing out of the ordinary. And that's one of the better recent horrors
