As far as i know Potchi and Mike are general pet names for the respective animals

You could do a light insult or something keeping in with the idea but not relying on context?

Truth i mean something joky kind of, it shouldn't be unfair or rude.

I didnt really read up on the context on the original suggestion, but you could even have a mild select system allowing a user to chose from a range of severity allowing for comfort.
