Gotta get my hands on that! And I always knew the Forerunner fleets were more OP than SW fleets, just had a feeling. Kinda makes me wonder why the Didact didn't just unleash a supernova on the humans though... But I guess a single nova wouldn't mean much to guys able to bully the Forerunners.

 

The Forerunner navy used star busting only as a last resort during their war with the Flood. And I wouldn't be surprised if they considered such actions to be against the Mantle.

And yeah, ancient humanity and the Forerunners are OP as hell. They would outright stomp the Galactic Republic or Empire at their respective heights of military power (which would be the Clone Wars for the former and around the Battle of Endor for the latter). Every freaking capital ship in their navy is larger and more powerful than the Eclipse, every one of those ships carrying swarms of mechs capable of city busting, every single soldier comparable to a Spartan or top tier Sangheili, immense advantages in engineering, their commanders have pseudo-telekinesis and access to top tier combat skins with city level durability.

Forerunner at their peak = Celestials (Star Wars Legends) > Galactic Republic and Empire > UNSC (post war) and Covenant Empire

 

Yeah I guess. Still, Forerunners op, plz nerf. I wanna see more stuff showing their space distortion, like we had with Onyx.

 

There's this one crazy move whereby Forerunner ships would fling asteroids or ship wreckage to the very spot that an enemy ship would exit slipspace (yes, they can track targets still in slipspace). When the enemy ship exited slipspace right where the asteroid/wreckage was, the two bodies would annihilate each other. And by annihilate, I mean it in the scientific sense in that the two masses would be converted into pure energy.

 

Wait, you mean like e=mc squared? On the scale of battlecruisers etc?

 

Yup. The move was detailed either in one of the Forerunner saga books or Halo Mythos. Don't remember.
