No it's not. It's perfectly okay to outright suspend belief in something for which there is zero evidence of existence. If someone said "You can't prove unicorns don't exist", you'd think they were nuts. Switching burden of proof over to prove that something doesn't exist when there is zero evidence for its existence to begin with is just an immature little defence mechanism.
