Us more hardcore Star Wars are asking the same thing.

This is also a question were are asking. Most hardcore Star Wars fan don't want a Han Solo movie. He got enough character development in the Aftermath trilogy and the novel Smuggler's Run. It'd have been better if they just made a canon comic series or novel or even a cartoon detailing Han's past. But nope. Instead of a movie about some character who is more interesting, we get another two hour ride cashing in on the good old original trilogy nostalgia. Making a Han Solo movie seems good to me from a cash grab standpoint. But as a hardcore Star Wars fan... Eh...

However, if the movie is genuinely good and makes Han a more interesting character in my eyes... I'll eat these words.

Yeah. He wanted Han Solo killed off in Empire Strikes back. And he only agreed to do Force Awakens if they killed him off.

75 year old Ford playing late teens to early 20s Han Solo? Doesn't seem like a bad idea.

I don't care what anyone says, I loved him in that movie.
