So according to this, there's gonna be an announcement this week for the FFVII Remake, and a release date may be given. Finally...

Yeah, we always get shafted on release, but honestly SQ has been really good about porting their games over. I have high hopes.

And news came out for the VII Remake!

And by news, I mean, not news.

But it was announced as "news", as if it was something we didn't already know.

Combat will be how it is seen in XV, rather than the Active Time Battle system of the original VII.

I'm not too fussed with that. I actually like the combat of 15.

 

It's not gonna be as fast-paced as XV, since Cloud can't warp, but there's gonna be materia, limit breaks. List goes on. Looking forward to smashing shit with a giant sword tho.

 

I'd rather not have the remake having a battle system like XV, though. Maybe because I'm too stupid to fully enjoy XV, but it's not as fun and crazy as I expected. I'm definitely interested to see how materia plays a role and enhance the battle using the latest technology because it's one of the best elements of VII.
