Thought this episode was pretty solid. I felt it cut to Freeza vs Dyspo and Gohan + 17 vs Toppo for a good amount of time, leaving what seemed to be majority for Jiren and Goku/Vegeta, which I feel was a good move for this episode as it did well to show Vegeta's feelings in what he feels he's got to do, showing Jiren using a bit of power, Goku actually using tactics and then Goku and Vegeta's united front. Vegeta's New Form is interesting, seeing as this arc is all about Breaking Limits, I wonder what is in stall for Gohan and Freeza? Also, wonder what happened to 17 and Toppo? It's really weird next episode Gohan is suddenly fighting Dyspo with Freeza?????

Looking forward to the continuity of this arc, it's been enjoyable.

Yeah, that was a really nice touch! I wonder if they'll name the form or just leave it as his limit breaking form? Idk, he's "struggling" but not? He should just go gold and finish it rq tbh.

But the eyes are Ultra Instinct but blue which throws me off. Could be though. I guess the term Ascended SSB could be coined. I guess so.

 

The obvious art flaws are always fixed for the home release so it's pretty irrelevant. There was some decent shots still too. I felt that Vegeta and his promise to cabba was pretty on point, it the relationship has been displayed several times, the rest seemed like normal dialogue. The form could've been revealed better like UI, but I felt like it was okay. There's no context whether it's on par or stronger than that. The ending implies it may be around UI considering the ending puts him right up and next to UI Goku, but that may not mean anything too.

 

Most likely. Seemingly comparable from like 60 seconds of footage. Outro puts them right up and next to each other to indicate it's comparable to a degree, but that may just be the outro, they don't always mean everything. Yeah.

Sloppy art =/= half drawn. I'm saying that it's irrelevant to me because I'm informed enough to know that it'll be corrected for the paid release. Most people get it for free so complaining about the quality of a free product is sorta eh. Again, I meant for me it's irrelevant, to people who fantasize about the "bad animation" meme, fair call, but understand that the broadcast version isn't final.

Yeah, that was the better part of the episode, I thought Goku's tactic where he got Jiren out was well done too. There are lows such as the other fights, but the cuts didn't feel wrong and it flowed fine. They also didn't take the entire episode. The episode was more setting up for future things for majority. Establishing where Jiren is and his abilities (Normal punch), Vegeta's powerup, Goku and Vegeta having a good chance working together, etc.

Fair enough to you being disappointed.

 

You also mentioned the other power up from the spoilers, so that could take it further than the current level.
