Darth Plagueis and Darth Sidious attempted to literally shroud the galaxy in darkness in order to counter the Jedi's "halo of Light side energy" across the galaxy. The Force retaliated against their efforts and conceived Anakin. So the Dark Side experiments of Darth Plagueis can be said to have birthed Anakin i.e. Darth Plagueis can be considered his father (from a certain point of view).

You'll have to read the latest arc of the 2017 Vader comic - Fortress Vader. Not only do we get one of the most interesting Force using characters in Canon to date (Lord Momin), we also get some really freaky (but great) shit. Vader attempts to use a portal to the World-between-Worlds to resurrect Padme. He gets some freaky visions, including one which hints at Sidious using some sort of Dark Side Force shenanigans to somehow conceive Anakin.

So... Basically the same as in Legends, but with Sidious instead of Plagueis.

I like Aisha Tyler. Not more than Drew, but I like her.

Just to be clear: Vader was opposed to the Death Star project in both Legends and Canon. It was Tarkin's pet project and Palpatine's deterrent. And the worst Vader has done to planets is order Base Delta Zeroes.

He ordered Death Squadron to carry out several in Canon. They glassed several planets in a few weeks.

Thanks to the Burning Seas arc of the Canon Vader comics, we know that three ISDs can lay waste to half a planet's surface in an hour to a few hours at most. By comparison, a large covenant fleet with dozens of warships would need days to do the same.

Just goes to show how far ahead Imperial Navy armaments are compared to the Covenant Empire.

Of course... The Forerunner Navy would absolutely wreck the entire Star Wars galaxy with ease. The average cruiser in their fleet was more powerful than the Eclipse.
