It's literally the same thing for 20 years, they can put one ounce of effort into redoing some of the 3ds assets.

 

It's hard to pay attention on sub 300p hand held systems where most things are a mess anyway. Using gameplay > graphics is a moot point because it's the same thing they always did, with perhaps minor tweaks. It's exactly like how Monster Hunter used ps2/psp assets for like 12 years until now. All I'm saying is it certainly would've been nice to have better quality assets to go along with the bump in resolution the switch provides like basically every other switch game. It's really not a surprise there isn't, though.

 

And it probably never will, marginal things if anything. Shame.

however, I do agree that game freak has the ability to make it better, so I'm not particularly on either side

but this is mostly because the switch has immense capabilities, literally no reason to not amp up their graphics

just hope it isn't "BOTW" style graphics though, it needs to match pokemon if you get what I mean

 

like honestly the 3DS era felt more like a tech demo, and what they would be able to do on a next-gen console (at that time), so I kinda hope they don't try again even if it is a console like the switch
