Mediocre deaths, Night King plot could have been extended way longer and kept for last instead of focusing on the Cersei drama, and all in all kinda pale ending.
Fate for Jon Snow was not what I would have hoped for, but it wasn't the worst.

I was kinda disappointed with a few other things, and the best episode in the season was too dark and quality wasn't good for a hyped episode.

So yeah, I can see why a lot of people would be buttmad

Yeah, that makes sense. Benioff and Weiss said a couple of years ago that they wanted to wrap things up quickly.

 

There were a lot of stuff that just didn't make sense either. I mean John Snow, former bada** was suddenly turned into a somewhat unintelligent emo ;-;

Also I heard it had to do with GRRM's writing being too slow and so the last few seasons were off compared to what's in the books. This is probably why the earlier seasons were so good compared to like season 7 and 8.

I'm just glad Tyrion snapped him out of it.
Tyrion and Arya are probably the only characters that I liked throughout the entire show because they weren't complete retards and actually stayed true to themselves. Jon somewhat got blinded by love and it made him look bad.
