If Shinigami and L share their reads with another player, they will have to follow the Shinigami or L's reads. If they don't they are clearly Mafia. Advantage is both ways, The Officers will follow their reads and Kira will also be forced to follow their leads. Voting to contary means that person is Kira.

You only trust Shinigami and L, no one else. Even then you need to use logic and see who is the most suspicious and whether your reads match the Shinigami or L's.
