Synopsis
One fateful day, all of humanity was petrified by a blinding flash of light. After several millennia, high schooler Taiju awakens and finds himself lost in a world of statues. However, he’s not alone! His science-loving friend Senku’s been up and running for a few months and he's got a grand plan in mind—to kickstart civilization with the power of science!​

 

I just watched episode 1 of this and I absolutely loved it! Rather unique for a Shounen series as well as almost "post apocalyptic". I didn't expect this direction at all and went in without the synopsis. It was both rather interesting to watch as well as rather light hearted and relaxing. I'm very much looking forward to where this goes!

Also, nice to see Boichi's Manga taken animated form. I'd love to see Sun-Ken Rock! adapted some day.

 

Done with episode 2. Man, fighting off the tigers naked with bare hands was absolutely kino. Same with the Boar hunting lol. When naked fighting is involved, you know it's a Boichi work. Lol. Really enjoying the show. It's just so comfy to see them slowly building civilization back. The conflict at the end was done really well too, imo. I can understand what they were both going for. I assume that this will probably be explored further down the track too. I am loving the art style too. It's reminiscent to something from the 80's-90's anime era.

 

Episode 3 was great! Senkuu thinks really quick on his feet, to come up with a cover such as what he did to cover up the real "miracle liquid." The small fight with Tsukasa, Senkuu and Taiju was great too. Was amazing how he caught the arrow and directed it straight to the ground, and also how Taiju blocked the kick and didn't falter. The OST really made the moment too and the animation was superb. The studio behind this is doing a phenomenal job. Pretty amusing how Taiju just refuses to hit him though, lol.

The trip to the mountain was neat. Also, Tsukasa seems akin to a "gary stu" being both incredible strong but he's also quite smart too. Figured things out surprisingly fast. I'm looking forward to where episode 4 goes and if Tsukasa is kept around for long, or if they truly end up offing him.

My thoughts, too. It's a rather unique take on both "post-apocalyptic" (I assume this is where you would technically classify it?) and shonen. I agree here as well, the animation is scenes such as where Senku fired the arrow anad Tsukasa directed it to the ground was fluid as and the artwork is pretty visually appealing, not really having any scenes that are janky from what I noticed.

Yeah, that's what I'm wondering. He does seem to be rather intelligent himself as well as having the brawns. That'd be a really interesting spin if he made his own society and they split off. I wonder if he will get killed off before then, or be the major antagonist?

I also enjoyed the flashback montage of Senku's experiments growing up. It was pretty funny. I know right, pretty awesome father. Seems like perhaps Seku, Taiju and Yuzuriha knew each other a bit before. I didn't originally think that Senku really interacted with her, but seems like they did a little at least.

Looking forward to them meeting up with the new people! Senku was standing before the fire for a particular reason, wonder if it was basically an explosion waiting to happen which will fire shrapnel at Tsukasa? Either way, was a good cliff hanger but annoying too lol. Can't wait until the next episode.

 

But Taiju is likely to cuck himself. That was something kinda annoying, "I'll tell you what I was gonna say once we rebuild civilization" NIBBA

Make the chad Tsukasa the MC instead.
