Detective Conan/Case Closed

We will be reading Gosho Aoyama's series Detective-Conan here. One case a day which is generally 3-4 chaps but longer cases maybe of 6+ chaps.

The name Case Closed comes since Americans believe their children are too pussy to spell Conan becoz of Conan the Barbarian and Conan the Destroyer they changed its name.

Synopsis
Shinichi Kudou, a high school student of astounding talent in detective work, is well known for having solved several challenging cases. One day, when Shinichi spots two suspicious men and decides to follow them, he inadvertently becomes witness to a disturbing illegal activity. Unfortunately, he is caught in the act, so the men dose him with an experimental drug formulated by their criminal organization, leaving him to his death. However, to his own astonishment, Shinichi lives to see another day, but now in the body of a seven-year-old child.

Perfectly preserving his original intelligence, he hides his real identity from everyone, including his childhood friend Ran Mouri and her father, private detective Kogorou Mouri. To this end, he takes on the alias of Conan Edogawa, inspired by the mystery writers Arthur Conan Doyle and Ranpo Edogawa.

Detective Conan follows Shinichi who, as Conan, starts secretly solving the senior Mouri's cases from behind the scenes with his still exceptional sleuthing skills, while covertly investigating the organization responsible for his current state, hoping to reverse the drug's effects someday

You know, if you said anime watch I'll be up for it but reading manga after I went through like 350 episodes...maaaaaaaaaaan

 

i mean you can watch it. we will read it

but 1 case day only that will be like 1 or 2 or 3 episode depending on plot. also episodes are sometimes non linear

Prologue is chap 1 and episode 1 and they differ somewhat since anime doesn't want Blood.

Case 4 is ep 128 and ep 13.i will ask you to watch 128 since Episode 13 doesn't follow manga plot fully since anime company believed it won't matter and DC will end in a year

Prologue was interesting. I like the chemistry between Jimmy and Rachel. Damn that murder was brutal. That toxin must've hurt like a bitch.

If the names changes suddenly its becoz VIZ was using Americanised names in starting to sell it in America

 

What lol I didn't knew they were originally using Japanese names.

 

They tried Americanised entire series. Names of chars and changed the series name to Case Closed from Detective-Conan

 

Ew. Imma call em by their Japanese names u.u
