Okay, I did a little browsing. It seems Lenovo, Asus, and Dell do offer DOS laptops. But those are only business laptops with iGPUs.

Gaming laptops? Go eff yourself with a bloatware filled Windows gaming laptop or be a chad and build a proper gaming deskptop and install Windows yourself.

I bought a laptop in early 2013 with an iGPU for studies and work. I also do some gaming on it xD

Sister-in-law is asking me to find a good laptop with a decent dedicated GPU for her, so she can work plus do some gaming.

    - Kept telling her to buy Asus TUF or Acer Nitro or even Predator series.
    - Buys a Lenovo L series.
    - Has issues from day one.
    - Booked for return and refund.

Now I'm seeing models for her in Asus Vivobook series and TUF series. I'm considering Acer Nitro series as well, as they offer good specs and build relative to price. But they supposedly have heating issues.

My money is on the goose. They are incredibly short-tempered and stupidly courageous bastards who are known to chase away leopards.

    - Tiger getting heckin' bamboozled by duck.
    - Priceless.

What triggers me about shit like this is when people waste your time asking for advice and just ignore it anyway. Why bother asking if you won't use it?

She booked the Lenovo on advice from two cousins of hers. Now they're out of town and I'm the only knowledgeable help she has left.

Currently looking at three models (two Asus and one Acer).

    CPU choices: i5-9300H, Ryzen 5 3500U, Ryzen 5 4500U
GPU choices: GTX 1050M, GTX 1650M, RX 560X Mobile

I know. Not exactly power house laptops. But they are more than enough for her and the games she plays. And, of course, more than enough for work.

My only gripe is that there are no Asus Vivobook 15 or Vivobook Gaming offerings in India with middle class GPUs like those (at least not for a reasonable price in the case of the latter). That line would be better for casual gaming plus work.

Vivibook Gaming 15 (those are really well built laptops) with i5-9300H or Ryzen 5 3500U with GTX 1050M, 8 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD (or 1 TB HDD) were available three weeks ago with massive discount (around INR 52000 to 54000) on Flipkart and Amazon India. Now they're ******* sold out on those sites, and if she wants one she has to see in Asus dealership for INR 70000 to 73000.

It's always hard to try and pick a laptop that seems decent.

He didn't even understand what happened.

    I saw them chase elephants.

I like moments like these where the supposedly weak 'prey' can showcase how they can win even when all odds are against it, with wits alone.
