Hot Take on Naruto

Naruto and Sasuke relationship from Naruto's POV is probably the most important thing he ever made at least in Part 1 thus his resolve to bring him back is totally justified in Part 2.
It is actually muddied by the fact there are like some 100 b2b fillers in Naruto part 1 which all of us have watched some point of time that forced us to subconsciously believe Naruto had too many friends in part 1 apart from team 7.

Haaa? I actually never thought Naruto had so much friends in part 1 since he was always portrayed as a moster. I'd say not even Sakura was his friend for the longest time.

 

i mean you can see in first 30 or so episodes he was pretty friendly with sasuke and sakura and vice versa ie sakura saving him from falling down during oro fight and his and sasuke's convo about fighting each other before start of 3rd phase of chunin exam

I think he was friendly 'cause that's his nature. Sakura was a dickhead for the longest time.

 

i mean yeah but Naruto was too literally mocking sasuke's dead clan when they both got butt kicked by lee or calling lee names for which sakura hit him.
i am just seeing the anime fillers made us feel like he had many close friends at end of p1 which was not the case

 

idk I never had that idea about Naruto, my perspective changed after timeskip when he was labeled as a Konoha's hero after defeating Pain.

 

don't remember correctly but fillers were absolute horsecrap. Rather than filling up in the story it tried to flesh out char that become redundant later on.
