Armin whet from being the wizzkid to Mikasa 2.0,everytime doubting himself and stuff. I legit expected Armin to take over Erwins role and drive people forward, he hasn't actually done anything what I expected. He had so much potential. I also never understoo why Hange still put hope into Armin, it felt to me it was so forced to make Armin the commander.

I hope ending will be good at least, there's no way mangaka can make Eren somehow good after all this. I refuse to believe he will somehow end up alive after this.
I slept on it an I feel like at least, mangaka done a very very bold move.

The ending wasn't a happy ending. It has more impact 'cause Mikasa was the one murdering Eren, I'm still shocked by that. She cared so much about him. I am so shocked even now.

I'll probably still rate it 10/10 because the ending itself is still different and isn't a cliche.

Though I still think, the way the manga started and the way manga ended, it's weird. I feel like mangaka changed his plot midwritting for some reason.

We went from saving to humanity and killing titans to, wipig the humanity and having titans alive still.

 

I'll also say the first part of the manga pre-timeskip is still the best version of this manga. I just don't like the timeskip plot, I really don't even though Gabi is a well written character.

Yeah there was no character development for Armin, he started as a crybaby pacifist and ended as one as well. He was made commander prematurely, but what other choice did they have? Levi is a fighter not a thinker, same with Mikasa. Jean was a good candidate but then if he was made commander then what was the point of Armin, it was prolly for the best.

Yeah the manga is pretty unique and breaks a lot of shonen boundaries.

Mikasa killing Eren was very fitting imo, it was as if she was finally free from her responsibility of taking care of him, though yeah it's pretty fucked up.

For me the manga went down the drain with the introduction of Marley and all the geopolitics. Why couldn't we stay slaying titans and protecting the walls?

Yeah...I definitelly enjoyed it more when they were protecting their people within the walls. Mikasa killing Eren, I'll never forget this. Also I don't get what's up with those headaches, I always thought there would be some reason later but there never was.

 

All Eldians are connected to each other through PATHS right, the headaches may be something of Eren's doing, he may be using them to tell Mikasa to forget about him or something, or maybe they'll be explained in the final chapter.

 

@JoeJoe just so you know the final page of the final chapter has already been revealed a few years back. Nobody knows who the baby and man are, and the dialogue bubble says "You're free now"
