Probably people believe those movies and chars are their safe space when they are not.They are money printing machine for studio

The Lord of Rings prequel has many chars of color which is all fine and progressive but the the question arises why there were no such char in Hobbit or Lotr itself.Did the others went full Nazi on them.

Also politicising or being woke about everything does mean how bad is it gonna get.Are you going to change every bit becoz someone doesn't agree with something like it is happening in India.If so At last onely propaganda will remain

We talked about the naruto vs pain fight before. It wasn't about budget. I explained back then why that episode had really good budget and a lot of work went into it and the problems were results of artistic decisions rather than budget limitations. Stiff movements, stills and panning etc. those are signs of limited resources. Expressive and bouncy animation indicates a lot more frames and more effort being put into action and yes even the goofy impact waves were more difficult and time-consuming to make than what you saw above (which was standard Shippuden level animation).


The most notorious shot of all is even more clearly an artistic decision because the entire artstyle is distorted on purpose to get a desired effect. (What that was I can't tell but it's certainly not a mistake or a result of laziness).


Yes it looks out of place. Yes it's bizzare to see looney toones runs and Naruto hammering Pain with a rock. But none of it was cheap. And don't let the lack of detail on character shading fool you, the environments in that episode were movie quality as was animation in general. The directing and stylistic decisions were what was off with that episode. The money and talent were there.

 

Now that I think about it, I could probably animate an entire episode in that level of animation within a month all by my own lol and I'm not even that much of an animator

Funny thing is most fans would prefer something a noob like me could produce over a veteran's work just because it fits in the box of what they're used to. Not to say I blame them as there are right and wrong times to experiment and that was definitely a wrong time but don't go disrespecting the artists and calling their work cheap or lazy. Someone worked tirelessly to make those shots happen and as goofy as 4-5 shots in that episode look, the rest was peak quality.

 

This is such a beautiful song to me and I can't explain why I feel like that

 

Oh yea I still sometimes get those retarded never pause Naruto memes which are more than half the times taken unironically...
