Eh I just heard mostly bad things about it and since I can't play the VN on my laptop I figured I'll give it try just to see the fate route and read up on it on the wiki just for more details.

If you think about it, Gil technically still won the battle since he could still retaliate and Shirou ran out of mana and was defenseless, he was just saved by the grail and archer at the end. I also heard Gil's death was more honorable in the fate route.

Yeah playing the VN is too much for me. He did win the battle with shirou but I never understood why archer didn't disappear when saber did or why the grail felt the need to pull gilgamesh in after it was seemingly destroyed.
The headshot rustled me a lot his death was a lot better in the Deen version.

According to AC, archer didn't disappear because he obtained a lot of mana from caster when he was her servant and my guess is the grail went after Gil, because he was the largest source of mana in the area.

But its whatever lol.

Rofl I see and kame told me Gilgamesh was nerfed cause he was a human not a servant which was why he had a lot of trouble with shirou
