    no but for real, handle parry guard is impossible to do? also parrying itself is so bad, my guy, I have no que into knowing when to guard or perfect guard? guy turns red like in Sekiro but **** me you never know the animation when to hit because it's some robot thing, in Sekiro 9 times out of 10 I succesfully mikiri counter or jump counter or whatever, here, I am either doing it wrong or it's so bad.

    First impressions.

    It's a mix of all FromSoft games I guess? They took the arm from Sekiro, the gameplay of BB and ER I guess?

    Played for an hour or so, ummm, parrying I hate from the bottom of my heart, it's so bad, it's not even worth parrying, I take dmg anyways even with parry and getting a perfect parry is a myth by itself.

    Difficuilty so far compared to ER for example or Sekiro, is abit easier, no mobs so far early game were a problem and I beat the first boss, first try. Normal mobs are so unpredictable though, they have such a random attack pattern and I can't for the love of me parry shit. The getting health back on enemy hit is handy but I hate how it goes away as soon as I get hit, meh....

    Getting flasks though on hits throughout the game is top tier IMO. I am not really forced to play safe, quite the opposite, agressive play is more rewarding.

    All in all, it's fun so far but parry and ques for enemy attacks are not good IMO.

    For the love of me I don't understand why we have a durabilty system on weapons, I hate how after every fight and even between fights I need to put durability in my weapon, like it's so pointless, who asked for this and why is that even a thing? It's just so annoying to worry about stuff midfight which doesn't have anything to do with the enemies themselves.......

    Also rapier as a weapon is so fun,the hit and heavy into backstep is so satisfying I hope there's some katana weapons in the game though :( I wanna samurai this gameeee

    Man, we need Samurai games, I bloody love the fantasy of handling a weapon made for slicing people up, it also looks epic in hand.

    Samurai game from FromSoft when?

    Whole lore of a samurai is so epic, Japan at some point had soldiers who wielded katanas bro

    No it's not, the perfect guard is super tight, it's like 8 frames and sekiro is like 11 or 12. I would advise against trying to use the handle parry guard, because the timing is early iirc. When they glow red, you can't normal block or "dodge" the easiest thing to do is simply out space it if you can't perfect guard.

    Eh, Kind of.

    The parrying is super tight. At least you don't HAVE to parry. But this patch actually reworked a ton of the bosses so you actually knew the attacks were coming. Before some bosses had basically instant release timing so parrying was even worse before. It was still pretty managable even for me to pull off more often than not. You don't take any damage from a perfect guard, if you just block you take recoverable damage, which you can recover by attacking.

    I thought Lies of P was harder than both tbh, well idk about demon of hatred, **** that guy. Of course it goes away when you get hit lol, just don't get hit.

    Yeah, it's super nice. You can clutch out a win with that heal system. I think it's super genius and even something fromsoft should look at doing in the future. It rewards good play.

    Parry window is tight, and yeah, that also wasn't great. That's why I didn't know for sure if you'd like it, but at least latest patch did actually address the latter on heaps of bosses so it's way better than the previous patch. The didn't change first boss or two though.

    It was even worse?¿? Ayoo I thought it couldn't get worse than this due to animations not being specific and having trouble finding the que to parry :O

    Parrying will be the end of me, I guess I just won't parry xD

    So far it's pretty fun, also runs great!

    Yeah. I don't think that the normal mobs were really changed, but the bosses were made "more intuitive". Some attacks felt basically instant. Also, the rolling off the ground wasn't a base skill, they added that. xD I don't think the first boss had any changes though.

    Lol, you'll get more used to it I think, but the parry definitely doesn't feel great to try and do. Apparently you're meant to hold it though not just tap. You'll be fine though, I was 99% sure you'd like it and like 1% man this parry will make him hate it, so I'm glad you don't hate it. xD

    Yeah, it runs like a dream! Honestly, I'm really impressed considering it's literally their second game ever, and they didn't have any real major bugs, this is litearlly the second or third patch, and it's mostly related to balancing.

    I know that feel lol. You can't really try and play it like Sekiro or Elden Ring in that regard. Which those are the only souls you've played, the other 4 didn't have jump attacks so makes sense you're in that habit. xD I really loved the aesthetics of the game too, and the music was pretty good.
