This tells me you haven't looked at the price of motherboards. TUF is like the step up from budget. The next step up is a price hike to like 700-800. I got this for umm $449. It has PCIE5.0 for GPU and 1 m.2, and other good shit. the actual budget boards are the B series chips. But yes, if by budget you mean no shitty memelights all over the joint, and several other maybe less features like 2.5gb lan over 10gb, and lesser price.

 

Yeah motherboard venders have gone full retard with pricing boards. I'm pretty sure there is one below TUF, unless that's just the B series chipset.

 

Thanks, hopefully your stuff goes good too. I mean, 2 weeks of work for a platform upgrade (cpu was $200 off and motherboard also like $50 or $100 off) seemed like a no brainer.

I just checked and seems like it goes
ROG > TUF > PRIME and ProArt slots somewhere probably between ROG and TUF.

 

7800x3d is basically the best gaming chip. Way less power draw so runs cooler, don't need to upgrade cooler then. Upgrading cooler would have me also buying a bigger case (full tower for 360mm rad) as I want to keep my blu-ray drive. 13700k or 14700k are $649 and $659 respectively, 7800x3d was $589. That's kinda it really, I game more than I would use other workloads, so it just made sense. If I have hell with this, I'll just never buy AMD again.

 

Top and Top kinda trade blows in gaming, but more often than not 7800x3d pulled ahead. With less heat and power draw to boot, and being cheaper. You can see why you'd pick it.

 

Buy Intel then lol. 15th gen intel is supposed to be a good improvement over the current offers.

 

Fair call. I figured might as well try AyyMD. Nothing ventured nothing gained right?
