You just try to figure out who is trying to kill everyone. You converse and use tactics to see who is faking being a good guy. Once a day you can try to convince everyone who Kira is so you guys can lynch suspects based on who gets the most votes

There is another role that you can play and that is of team kira. Your job is to keep suspicion off of yourself in order to survive till the end. Kira himself gets to kill one person every night.

There are also officers and team kira members with special roles, but u can just look into the rules for that stuff. It should be somewhere around here <_<
