You try other shit, like removing Asus Armory crate. Booting into safe mode, undervolting the cpu, etc.

 

That's where you usually do it, although you might also be able to do it in an amd uhh... control centre think, but idk if that's only for specific laptops or systems or what. Is it just locked out in bios? Or maybe you can't on laptop. Regardless, you could still try the other two things at a minimum.

To be fair, I think you can count on one hand the amount of systems that are intel or amd only. He probably didn't know, only of the brand.

 

Yeah, probably some sort of contract deal. I wonder if it's worth looking into that company Framework that provides spare parts you can swap out.
