A lot of people here still use memory card storage. It's why smartphones with memory card options sell really well all over south and south-east Asia in general. However, that is changing these days thanks to the likes of Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, Motorola (those first three absolutely dominate the SE Asia market) introducing budget devices in these regions with 256 GB base storage and also 512 GB options. They have a bunch of region-exclusive under USD 300 devices that offer 256 GB to 512 GB storage options. The Redmi Note series, SE Asia exclusive Vivo Y models, and Motorola Edge Neo/Fusion series are prime examples.

I just don't see myself using it that much. I also have my own way of looking shit up. And, in any case, whenever I want to look something up, I use Firefox with adblock.

The last sub I had was a week ago. It was in Baker's Street in Puducherry. It was a lovely French loaf with red onions, tomato, spinach, feta, and garlic butter. It was actually great.

I learned today that McDonalds workers are under such time pressure it made me reealize that's so stressing. Especially in drive throughs, they work like soldiers ffs

They literally work to death. And don't even get me started on Amazon.

 

Back when it was announced anime movies were normal like AoT, so I really thought they would end it with a movie trilogy lol

 

Yeah but you are right since they would need at least one more movie to completely adapt the manga

 

So... Influenza A is surging in Bangalore. That's for the third winter in a row. I'd bet anything that's what I had last week, because the symptoms match exactly. Heck, my body is still aching like fukk all over.

 

As someone who does use a memory card and 3.5mm jack regularly: it sucks that the card slot and jack are gone now. However, I can adjust to both somehow, especially since the A36/A56 offer 256 GB of fast storage as base over here (whereas North America will be getting 128 GB only, for some stupid reason). That is enough for me. I could also just get an A35/A55 for cheaper and make do with those.

 

I'm no longer sneezing every three seconds and don't have a runny nose any more. However, I'm still coughing and have body aches all over.

Hope you're well. How's the weather over there? Bangalore in just two weeks shifted from cold wave (cold by Bangalore standards, at least) to heat wave.

 

The worst part is that tear-downs will indeed confirm sufficient space for both 3.5mm jack and at least a shared memory card slot, as Louis Rossmann has shown time and again. It was the same story with the A36/A56's three predecessor models.

The only upside in construction is that early hands-on reviews have confirmed higher quality build and parts in the A36/A56 - like flagship level internals from two years prior trickled down to mid-range. These phones at least seem solid and really built to last long. Samsung stated that they were confident of the entry level A16 5G lasting six years if taken care of (and I can believe this, based on what I've seen myself). So the much tougher A36/A56 must be really rock solid.

Well, that sucks.

My cousin - who enrolled in RMIT - is leaving for Melbourne day after tomorrow.
