As much of a hack as he is, I honestly appreciate him for trolling Goswami and Shinde, and showing the world just how much a fukking joke India is right now.

 

I feel like current fanbase of anime doesn't pay attention to the plot so much as they do for animation. I am watching Solo Leveling atm, it's hype, but man...plot is non existent but the animation is great and by no means it's a bad anime but bruh....I feel like current anime and manga are focusing too much on visuals compared to the plot...and it shows, the new gen manga are all meh compared to old stuff, is that just me?

 

I feel this way as well.

After watching some western animated shows like those of the Hirsch-verse - which take their plots surprisingly seriously despite being silly as well - modern anime feels "meh"... I don't remember the last time I saw a "new" anime which took its plot as seriously as the likes of Toward the Terra or even Bleach during the Soul Society arc. Heck, Bleach had fukking filler arcs that took their plots very seriously.

I thought Spy X Family would, considering what is going on with those two countries. But it just became slice of life with the occasional villain of the week to thwart.

I actually have some issues with the anime adaptation of Bleach TYBW as far as lore vs animation quality is concerned. It is still a fantastic as fukk anime adaptation that blew people away, but they could have focused less on movie-quality animation and more on adding extended lore from the novels or even Klub outside. I would have gladly accepted TYBW with slightly worse animation, but with more extended lore and world-building.

 

I mean...Solo Leveling atm is having so much hype , visually stunning but story wise it's just non existent, I am watching episodes by episodes and viusually I enjoy it so much but like nothing is happening, you just watch fighting. I've seen this type of genre so many times but only difference here is, Solo Leveling has amazing animation and visuals and others with same genre and theme don't so they aren't as hyped LOL

I feel concerned because no new manga captured me at all.

 

Are you considering dropping it or are you going to be patient?

First half of the series is slow. And then "Boom!" - the next half is in-your-face plot movement that you wish would slow the heck down.
