    So. Samsung 4tb ssd now is technically smaller than the old 4tb ssd so you can't use their software or others normally to clone the drive.

    I can probably get around this by shrinking the os volume then cloning it then expanding the source volume.

    alright i actually laughed.

    Well, I was installing a gen 5 m.2 nvme and was intending to migrate it to being my os drive but it's being a ****.

    Triggers me. So I tried to restore the back to the new drive, then for some reason windows decided to sleep (ISN'T YOUR DUMB ASS MEANT TO NOT SLEEP WHEN THERE IS DISK/NETWORK ACTIVITY GOD YOU ******* PIECE OF SHIT). So anyway, booted pc into failed windows, the old windows 11 drive missing. Booted to old windows 10 system, the "os" drive was the new drive, so used cmd and diskpart to clean the partitions out, then shut down and rebooted and I'm back to where is started. Maybe I just give up and use the new drive just for games. xD I've mcfucking had it at this point.
