Taking my father-in-law for an eye surgery tomorrow.

It is going to cost INR 50k at least because his medical insurance plan does not cover dental or optical.

Whichever donkey-dicks decided that teeth & eyes are not vital for health and should therefor not be covered under standard medical insurance plans, deserve the worst possible torture.

Edit:
They don't cover maternity/delivery/post-natal care either. That is a bonus add-on, with a three-year wait period.

The medical insurance industry should be abolished.

 

I agree. There's no standardized rates for dental treatment either. A small scale dentist may charge 2-3k for a root canal while a posh dentist charges upwards of 30k for the same procedure.

P.S I know someone from that village so asked if they know the person I smashed the side mirror off...hopefully I get some info so I pay for the damages...which wasn't my fault but I won't be able to sleep at night

All in all...I did my 80 but at what cost...

 

I once had a root canal that cost Rs. 10k (roughly). The same procedure at another dentist cost four times as much.

If I were to run a clinic I'd do it in 4-5k which is fine for Lucknow. Or do a package deal and add a Zirconia crown for a total of 7-8k
