After the Sanchaar shaata fiasco, the central government is now mulling asking all smartphone makers to keep A-GPS location tracking on my default in all new smartphones manufactured from next fiscal year onwards, with no option on the user's end to disable the feature.

Apple, Google, Samsung, Airtel, VI, even Jio have opposed the move.

For reference:
Even Chinese and North Korean smartphones do not have such a requirement.

And, yes, I have researched DPRK smartphones. I even have a catalogue somewhere on my laptop in PDF.
