Not much, just been trying to keep myself entertained this weekend.

The media ban is stupid. Its only literal purpose is to try and keep young people from learning shit online and to try and keep them politically illiterate.

I hate most social media as well, but let us not pretend that it has had a huge effect in turning many youth in the global north towards the left and against global finance capitalism.

Whenever someone says anything is meant to "protect the kids", you should look at them with extreme suspicion.

There is also the matter of more prevalent age-verification bs on many online spaces. This shit is just to make it easier for internet companies to fingerprint you, and also more easily sell your information to data brokers and intelligence agencies.

 

Not really, if anything I have a real life example where my 12y old cousin is so easily swayed by tiktok and stuff lol even worse and that might be controversial but there's so many shit online which is woke and why expose kids to it?

 

I am not denying that there is a lot of other "awake" (man, I hate that 'woke' word) shit that kids can be exposed to and learn from. My point was that the Aussie government does not give a shit about kids. That country is a haven for paedophiles fleeing from other nations, and they are more than willing to let kids starve and die in the streets. My whole point was that the social media ban thing was stupid, because their goal is not actually to protect children, but something else entirely.

 

I do get your point but kids aren't supposed to be on the internet period. It's a big place, as much as you can learn, that much you get swayed.

Unironically, I feel like people became more woke ever since internet got so accessible.

But that's just me.

 

That is the whole fukking point. They don't want people becoming 'awake'. They want blindly loyal wage cucks.

 

I meant it in a bad way, too many negative shit is thrown around social media and nothing is being monitored. Imagine having a kid on twitter, the stuff they are able to see there, my God.

That's exactly how they manipulate people, having no way of manipulating kids is way better than putting idiotary in their heads.

Is that even controversial but I don't want my cousin having being manipulated with idiotism.

People are getting more stupid each day with social media, and that's a fact at this point.
