    manga should factually be more widespread because at least now, you have online factor where everyone is online all the time, yet, after OP, Naruto and Bleach, deadass no new manga came close to that kind of popularity.

    like manga is so dead it's not even funny, whole shonen jump atm is just OP lol

    I feel like the manga industry needs a slump and a kick in the nuts right now. They certainly deserve to suffer a little. Their late stage ancap ways have hurt the world of manga and anime quite a lot since the 1980s.

    I think part of that comes down to them prematurely axing shit before it has a chance to find its legs. As for online community it happens when the original community is overrun by secondaries that don't really even like the medium.
