In the novel Can't Fear Your Own World (six months after Thousand Year Blood War) Charlotte is referred to with she/her pronouns. This implies that he fully transitioned while under Mayuri's care into a female. I wonder if she . . . you know . . . got the lady bits and all. It would certainly be within Mayuri's capabilities.

Yeah, Izuru perfectly embodies the third division's views on battle.

Yes, the weight doubles with every subsequent hit. After two hits the object is four times as heavy, after three hits it is eight, and so on.

Basically the weight of whatever he hits is 2^n times the original, where 'n' is the number of hits.

Izuru is the exact opposite of Ikkaku. Doesn't take pleasure in battle and prioritises his bloody job first & foremost.

Hisagi is humble. He really is among the three most powerful lieutenants right now, and the closest among them to being captain material (in terms of mindset, overall skill, probably also power).

He is also the most all-rounder i.e. versatile lieutenant, having achieved zankensoki, which in Gotei 13 language means that he has a high level balanced skillset and mastery in all four shinigami combat arts: zanjutsu (swordsmanship), hakuda (shinigami hand-to-hand combat style), shunpo (the shinigami flash step high speed movement technique), and kido (shinigami magic spells).

There are lieutenants who surpass Hisagi in any one of those four arts. But they fall short in the other arts, and can't match his overall combined skillset.

I believe that is a mistranslation. I think he says in the original Japanese that it looks like something that is meant to mercilessly slaughter, which he does not like. This is because, deep down, Hisagi is a pacifist like Ukitake.

Funnily enough, both of the pacifists are actually among the most powerful of their respective ranks.

222 was okay. Soifon had the upper hand last episode but got taken down in this. Omaeda is a meme lol

 

"Mommy Rangiku". Accurate, actually, considering that Rangiku is the second most senior and experienced among the pre-time-skip lieutenants, having been a Gotei 13 officer for almost a century now. The only lieutenant older than her among the current crop is Chojiro Sasakibe (Yama-jii's lieutenant). I think she's around the same age as Byakuya.

One of the Shinigami illustrated picture book omake episodes explicitly stated that Mayuri is capable of doing gender reassignment surgeries. So...

Yup. Aizen just went "LOL NOPE" against Sui-Feng's two-hit kill Shikai. The only other people in the Gotei 13 who could do that are Yama-jii (obviously) and Zaraki (because that motherfukker defies logic).

He be a Nepo Baby. Only reason he has this post is because his father had it, and he comes from a mid-rank noble family of great wealth (the Omaedas have a diamond and gemstone business). However, I would like to point out that his dad was actually competent.

If it were not for the bloody politics of the Seireitei nobility, Sui-Feng would have probably replaced him decades ago.

Shinigami age very very slowly, especially if they have higher reiryoku (6 and up on the spirit scale). Captain level Shinigami can be 2000+ years old and not look a day over 40. Lieutenant level shinigami can be 1000+ years old and not look a day over 40.

Omaeda is the Elon Musk of the Gotei 13. Nepo Baby who got where he is because of a rich daddy with a precious stone business.

 

223 was good. Soifon and Omaeda won, thank God. Next opponent looks serious.

 

224 was great. So Momo came to Rangiku's aid. She might have some unresolved feelings for Aizen. Looks like Aizen also has a soft spot for her? Shunsui fights the Espada. Lmao at Ukitake and the kid arrancar bickering The 3 girlies have joined. Would be interesting.
