Windows is so fukking stupid. The fact that you have to dick around with and edit the registry just to change the default font of the OS is just so fukking dumb. Like... Mac OS and Linux make it so that you can change the default system font in like three to five clicks (yes, that is accurate). With Windows 10/11, you have to create a text file with a very specific block of code, go to personalization, copy the name of the font (which you can't even do directly from the fonts menu), paste it into the text file, create a reg-edit key file, edit the registry, then restart the system (which you don't even need to do with Mac OS and Linux).

And, on top of that, it does not change the default font everywhere. It just changes it in the file explorer and on the desktop. The settings UI, control panel, log-in screen, start menu, and some others still retain the default Segoe UI typeface.

Microslop can't even do the simplest of things correctly. And that too something that Mac OS and Linux offer as a basic fukking feature.

Bro... They fired 80% of the people at Halo studios and handed off the reigns to the next title to Activision, a company headed by war criminals (like actual child-murdering war criminals who worked for Blackwater), Epstein associates, and dude-bros who think AI-slop-NFTs are 'art'.

That twat Asha Sharma must have given co-pilot a prompt on what to do with MsGS's flagship franchise, and it probably told her to follow EA's and Ubisoft's examples. And she probably thought it was great.

It is such a shame, because so much genuine passion actually went into Halo: Campaign Evolved (regardless of the issues with the game) and the team at 343i/Halo-Studios had a genuinely good relationship with the fandom. They got a dozen Halo youtubers to voice characters in a three-part audio-book. They took fans who work on ambitious mods and gave them jobs on the official games. They stuck up for Halo youtubers who faced copyright strikes due to usage of official game music. Which other game studio does this sort of stuff?

MS had a genuinely passionate studio, a genuinely good fandom, a good relationship between the studio and the fandom; and they showed both the studio and the fandom one of the biggest middle fingers I have seen in the gaming industry.

343i did put out good games. Halo 4 was indeed good and fantastically well-written (much more so than Halo 3). Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo Wars 2, Halo Infinite were all good. And Halo 5 had the best multiplayer for the time. And then there are all the fantastic books and such they put out to tie everything together. And, of course, a fantastic live-action mini-series that set the standard for other sci-fi mini-series.

Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn walked so The Mandalorian could fly.

The people who hated on those titles (aside from Halo 5) were just a bunch of vocal assholes blinded by nostalgia and who refused to mentally mature past the age of fourteen.

Microsoft is entirely to blame for the debacle. They made a misleading marketing campaign for Halo 5. They green-lit a flop-ass TV series. They fired good people and handed work off to contractors in order to save like 2 bucks per hour. They gutted the studio and left them shorthanded.

Yeah, they fukked it up from Windows 10 onward. I used a laptop with Windows 8 Professional for a decade. Even in bloody Windows 8 one could change the system font with a simple Run command and two or three clicks.

Hmm... Not sure if copium or hopium.
