Chapter 20 was good. Man, absolute shit for Arisu being blindfolded. He has absolutely no clue about time of day, or what's going on around him. Meanwhile, poor Usagi is being held down by four other men while #2 Niragi sexually assaults her. Even in that situation she just calls him a pitiful person and an animal. Chishiya swooped in and looted all of the cards from the safe, so he's secured his goal. Kuina is actually pretty sharp, she stopped Chishiya on his way out, and questioned him about the point of leaving Arisu and Usagi likely to die to the militants. Chishiya flipped it asking if there is anything she wouldn't do to survive and wanted to team her to follow him. Right before he stepped out of The Beach, several explosions went off and The Beach has now become the location of the next Game. This really saved Usagi. The difficulty is 10 of hearts.

In the main lobby, one of the women #37 Momoka Inoue has been stabbed to death. The game is called Witch Hunt and the rules are: the "evil witch" who store the girl's life is hiding among them. They can clear the game by finding the witch and purifying their "filthy, ugly" soul by basically burning them at the stake. The "witch" may be male or female. Unfortunately, due to Arisu's head being covered up with bandages, he can't really hear what is going on.

An seems to think it's the worst game ever. There really are no clues as to who may be the witch. It's likely that fear will run rampant when word spreads of a killer amongst them. Niragi immediately picks the girl that was with the deceased as the likeliest with candidate and basically just rolls with it, intent to burn her to find out. Usagi sticks up for her, and points out how uncivilised Niragi is. Now he's painting Usagi as suspicious.

Now everyone is using their fear to basically propose burning everyone "suspicious" until they clear the game. 65/66 players are left and the time remaining is 108 minutes.

 

Chapter 21 was good. So at this point everyone has just gone full mob mentality on killing the two girls, then someone blurts out The Hatter and Kuzuryu having been murdered. Having blurted that out, all of the attention on the girls switched to him, as they don't think the two girls could've killed the others. Last Boss clubbed him with a golf club, then goes straight into wanting to start killing and burning people to clear the game. With Aguni's words backing up Last Boss, things devolve into chaos. It's basically the militant group vs the rest.

The militant group has already burnt one person, with nothing happening, they plan to clear everyone and burn them. Niragi wants to pick them off as they come out so it's less work. 64 players remain and 96 minutes. The two Usagi took to her room to team up with were #43 Kodai Tatsuta and #35 Asahi Kujo. Hearing gunshots, they realise that people have started to be hunted down. I assume Usagi is referring to Arisu when she says that "he" would solve it without anyone dying. I was wondering when she'd get her shit together and free him instead of talking to the others.

The bloodbath has continued with them being no closer to finding the witch. Kuina is just lamenting everyone having gone crazy but also wanting to find a way to end it. I assume An, Kuina and the guy with them will end up teaming up with Arisu and Usagi. An plans to pull finger prints from the murder weapon. LMAO, no way Chishiya is going to crawl back to Arisu and ask for help after backstabbing him.

Damn, Usagi did good taking out one of the guys with a gun. She's determined to find Arisu and help him. Arisu is still just tied up in the room.

 

Chapter 22 was good. Damn, Arisu is on full delusion mode now imagining Karube, Chota and Shibuki. 58 minutes and 42 players remain.

The guy that Usagi took down, doesn't actually know where Arisu is, but seems to know he's on either the 3rd or 4th floor. He was ready to die having killed a few people himself, but Usagi noped out of playing the game.

Arisu's delusion quickly turned into a nightmare that has him apologising for living.

An and Kuina think that the Witch might be working with whoever is running the game, so they want to interrogate them, which is smart.

Serizawa plead with Aguni that he didn't want to give up his humanity by killing every person. The result was Aguni killing him.

Cutting back to Arisu, he's confessing to still being broken and traumatized by it, and how he's been lonely and wants to see them again.

Usagi is desperate to find Arisu, I think she understands his current state more than it seemed.

Arisu's breakdown continues and the delusion fuelled Karube is absolutely brutal, calling him a toddler for his current pitiful look and apology for living. Those thoughts sparked a fire in Arisu and he's got his shit together again, somehow. Arisu managed to knock himself over in the chair and get the bandages off his face allowing him to call out, which let Usagi and the others find him. They had a moment, which had them both a little flustered, Usagi a little more so.

Usagi tells Arisu about the game ongoing and he asks to hear the rules.

side story is like 128 pages?? crazy

 

Looks like it's broken up despite what it says. 164 is part 2 of the volume



I guess we just proceed as usual not sure if the side story is actually relevant

 

Usagi got really lucky, same with Arisu.

Seems like it could be, it would allow him to remove the opposing side or other obstacles. Hard to say though.

Yeah seems like some psychical pep talk.

Not sure it could be Niragi given he was with the others and Usagi, but I agree he and Last Boss seem the most likely.
