    Synopsis
Fate Graphite lives miserably as a gatekeeper in a world where skills given at birth determine an individual's entire life. Afflicted by the seemingly harmful skill Gluttony, which makes him perpetually hungry, he is abused by the holy knights—the supposed protectors of the populace—who view him as a dreg of society due to his skill. However, Fate's destiny takes a dramatic turn after he kills an escaping injured thief. To his surprise, Gluttony activates, enhancing his stats and granting him new skills.

Following this epiphanic event, Fate receives a job offer from Roxy Hart, the only benevolent holy knight in the city, which he happily accepts. Eager to further explore Gluttony's true potential, he partners with a mysterious talking sword named Greed, who warns him that Gluttony is a taboo skill that breaks the logic of the world. Now forced to live a double life, Fate must slay monsters at night to satisfy his awakened appetite for souls, lest he go berserk and lose all chances at finding happiness.

Episode 1 was good. People get skills at birth which determine an individual's entire life. Fate has a seemingly useless skill Gluttony which makes him perpetually hungry. He's abused by the Vlerick family he serves under, more specifically Memil, Rafale and Hado who are all terrible to people. Fate serves as the gatekeeper in their stead, and they pay him peanuts. Roxy of the Hart family seems like the good Holy Knight in the city, and sticks up for Fate when he's being mistreated by the Vericks, who end up leaving. She urged him to come to her if he's mistreated again, but he declined.

At night while Roxy was attending to gatekeeper duty, Fate saw some people scaling the wall and invading the city. He warned her and she went to deal with them while Fate took over gatekeeper duty. One of the people that invaded ran out and Fate end up killing him, which revealed that his Gluttony skills stole the skills of the person he killed, Telepathy and Identify. Roxy asked him to work under her family, instead of the Vericks.

Fate decided to try killing monsters now that he has some extra skills, he had a very small amount of money saved up and tried to buy a sword, only to be told he could basically only get junk. When looking through the barrel, he found a sword Greed that seemingly is conscious and knows about his Gluttony skill, so they make a good team.

Memil seems intent on getting back at Roxy/Fate but Rafale warns her, as both families are of the five main families that support the kingdom. Rafale is also studying immortality.

Fate killed a bunch of goblins, getting some skills from them and parts to sell. Gluttony skill prevents him from levelling up traditionally but as mentioned can pick up extra skills. On his way back home, he saw some sketchy guy kidnapping some poor girl, so decided to intervene after hearing her cries for help with telepathy. The kidnapper plans to make the girl the play thing for the Holy Knights.

Episode 2 was good. The nuns/matrons of the orphanage were looking for Sahara, the girl that got kidnapped but had no luck. Apparently, at one point in time in the past, monsters didn't exist and neither did skills. Interesting.

Instead of sneak attacking the kidnapper, Fate comforted Sahara before taking her a bit out of the way to safety, before attacking and taking down the culprit. After some interrogation, it's revealed that Hado Vlerick ordered the kidnapping. After saving Sahara, Fate took her to enjoy some dinner before returning her to the orphanage.

Fate made his way to the Hart family estate the next morning. Unfortunately, for the first time in 1000 years, the divine dragon attacked Roxy's father's group that was out and they were all killed including her father. She's now the head of the family. The chief maid of the estate Haru isn't too impressed with how Fate behaves and scolds him a bit. xD

Fate has no choice but to continue devouring now that his Gluttony skill is active otherwise he'll either starve to death or attack indiscriminately. His eyes turn red when he's at his limit, and as a result he gets a buff to his abilities to get the most out of hunts. He took out some goblins, then some hob goblins. He then had to feed Greed which turned it into a bow that tracks and hits targets no matter how he shoots it.

Episode 3 was good. Roxy went out undercover to inspect things in town, and Fate spotter her so she asked him to join. Seems like a date. The first thing she inspected was Greed, and they arranged to have maintenance conducted. xD Next up, they went to the markets and tasted some produce, before having an interaction with Hado and they somehow weren't found out.

They looked at some stones, and Fate wanted to get one for her, but couldn't afford the one she wanted, so Roxy declined buying one. That's when they overheard about a "monster" killing goblins, which was just Fate. The Holy Knights are investigating it, so it might be trouble.

They stopped by the bar/tavern that Fate used to frequent, and they thought he died. xD Seems the owner picked up on their real identities but played it off. Some travelling warriors came by and harassed Roxy, but ended up apologetic after her identity was exposed.

They had another run with the Vlerick siblings, and helped a poor boy they were harassing. They united the boy with his mother after much searching. Fate ended up getting a "mystery" stone for Roxy as a gift, but used his skill to pick the right one. He also got some magic mask thing to help conceal his identity when out.

Episode 4 was good. Adventurers refer to Fate as the Corpse. I guess makes sense if he's mistaken for a Licht. Roxy had Fate accompany her back to her family's vineyard and house where her mother resides, who's ill. Her mother teased her a little bit in regards to Roxy potentially having feelings for Fate. They were back for Roxy to introduce Fate to everyone, and help with harvesting grapes, but also to slay monsters in the area. Kobolds are known to steal the produce.

I am assuming the mysterious girl a Galian Fate encountered from a long destroyed nation Galia probably has a skill like Gluttony/Greed, etc. Seems like they will fight in the future, given the comment about Fate "not being ready yet".

The more Fate just "feeds" off of one monster, the more it no longer satisfies his ability, so him slaying Kobolds was a blessing in disguise. Along the way, they also encountered another more dangerous monster a crowned beast, The Bringer of Lamentation at level 50. After spotting it, they backed off to regroup. Roxy was intending to fight it at dawn, so Fate beat her to the punch and went for it directly himself at night, and came out on top.

Roxy's mother asked for Fate to stick by Roxy and support her, especially considering she's ill and doesn't have much time left. Fate agreed to think it over. Turns out that Roxy's mother was also a commoner. When Roxy and Fate returned, the Holy Knights were preparing to hunt the Corpse headed by Hado. At the end, Fate in disguise as the Corpse is confronted by Hado and some men. Fate will also likely need to hunt more other monsters, as the Goblins around this area just don't cut it much anymore.
