In retrospect, the only good thing about Naruto were the fights and that too till Pain Arc. After that, it was only earth raping nukes and not tactical fighting. The lore was staraight up basic Japanese Mythology and the character developments were meh, except for some. Compare it to OP, all the interactions of Konoha 11 was plain highschool drama. The only good character redemption was of Itachi and maybe Nagato.

 

Naruto part 2 was mainly about Naruto and Sasuke especially the first half. Great chars like Itachi and Pain came out becoz of their connection with the two.

Nukes are only one part of series going downhill. Kishi revived fan fav chars and trolled them in war arc. They were treated same level as White zetsu clones in a way.
The concept of Man behind the Man was overused. Kaguya was Dogpoop tier villain.

If you read chap 699 Sasukes story is the one that comes full circle. Naruto on other hand farted way too much about world peace so his char feels hallow in chap 699.

700 is basically fanservice

 

Oh yeah those are the arcs I saw with a looooot of fillers in between lol. I still need to check some previous episodes tho, specially the first introduction of certain characters.

Yeah Sasuke's redemption was understandable and logical, and reviving dead Akatsuki and writing them against the expectations was retarded. I mean, Nagato literally got one shot by Totsuka lmao.
700 was Kishi setting the stage for Boruto and nothing more.

War arc was undoubtedly the worst arc of entire series except Tobi, Sasuke and Itachi union, Madara and Naruto vs Sasuke.

Boruto on other hand is parody of naruto with a manga in which chars looks like Toad
