    Abe with his bum **** stupid isolationism and lol "Abenomics" had cucked Japan's tourism industry, their standing in the entire region, also their economic relations with literally everyone except their closest economic allies such as the US and India.

    A large chunk of Japanese society (well, at least the ones who hadn't drunk the nationalist Kool Aid) were haranguing him to open the country up and quit it with the outdated isolationist bullshit. This is a case of fictional writing being reflection of real life politics, not the other way around.

    If you watch or read a creation of them, doesn't mean you support what they've done or you condone their actions. Although, maybe you could get into some argument about you are supporting them in a monetary sense if you buy the media or whatever. But I'm sure if you think about everything you've ever bought, at some stage you would be likely to have unknowingly and unwillingly supported other individuals of similar things. So it's not like there's any point in overthinking it.
