Well Croatia brought back mandatory military training. 2 months of training and 1100 paycheck for it.

I wonder how will that go. Only for men also, women aren't mandatory.

Starts next year with 18 year olds. Dunno if it will catch me, I doubt it but who even knows at this point.

Apparently everyone who finished it will have it easier when searching for a job and be in favor when applying.

Women aren't mandatory so I guess harder job finds. Weird decision this.

Not really. In the context of global military industrialist capitalism, Croatia fully embracing being NATO's bitch, and the higher ups wanting to throw youngsters into the war machine (via economic coercion at that)... It makes sense.

Of course, it is fukking infuriating. But it makes sense if you know the context and politics behind it all. There is a method to this madness. It is abhorrent and evil. But there is a method to this madness.

This will become common in other Europeom countries too

EU+UK and norway etc are in a long conflict with Russia and US is unreliable
These countries also have demographic crisis and more anti immigration along with the fact they have nuked many of the stronger economy by banning cheap russian oil because of the conflict.

You either prepare and built your army now or say 5 years from now Russia will be much more stronger and battle hardned and many European military will be in shambles ie live half of German Air Force was dysfunction during early 2020s i belive

 

You do realize that only a comparatively small number of the world's nations allow women to serve in the military in frontline roles or even get full combat or militia training?

Going back to Germany...had a thing at work, not enough work and I realized I'm so fed up with Germany that I'm not even nervous about it anymore...

I legit waited for welp...not enough work so we'll....SHUUSHH no you won't, I quit.

 

Their logic is that it probably balances out the fact that they get militia training and are expected to die for the literal Nazis running NATO.

Yeah. I saw it last night. Various issues.

It looks too clean, rather than gritty and dirty.

The sound design is just horrendous. It does not have the Halo feel at all. It feels like Fortnite pretending to be Halo. The weapons feel like toys, the grenades are not the nukes that they were in the original Halo CE (they feel like the freaking toys that they were in Halo Reach and 4's campaigns).

And then there are the technical issues you mentioned. This game should ideally run on a GTX 1650 Mobile on medium settings (given that it looks no better than and is no more technically advanced than Infinite and even uses Infinite's assets). However, I have no faith in 343i (Halo Studios) optimization skills. This shit will probably require Ryzen 5 3rd gen plus RTX 2060 6 GB plus 16 GB RAM just for low-medium settings. That is how shit this looks on a technical level. Oh, and it will probably eat up 120 GB of storage even without the high-res texture pack installed.

Also, the game has all of these technical issues even on the consoles. People who tried it out complained of frame rate drops to below 15 fps at certain points.
