    Good afternoon :aizen

    One Piece has been mainstream in the west since around 2011-12 at least, when many celebrities in the west started coming out about their love for the series. I still remember the hype they were creating around it back then.

    Yup.

    @Blazing Storm
    @Laraib

    My SBI account was blocked for UPI transactions due to "suspicious activity".

    When I went and talked to my branch's deputy manager and asked her what the suspicious activity was that was flagged? She said it was an attempted payment to a "suspicious" entity. The "suspicious" entity in question? I was paying my wife's VI post-paid mobile bill.

    Bros... What the heck?

    I mean... Could be. Andrew Tate was still tweeting from a Romanian prison. And he was on trial for human trafficking as well as rape plus brutal beating of a 15 year old girl.

    Of, course Trump intervened to have him released, but that is another issue.

    Three things:

    1: It used to be with SBM (State Bank of Mysore) which had genuinely outstanding and personalised service. Then that dick waffle Jaitley had to go and merge all the State Bank Group banks under one **** of an entity.

    2: That account was created for me by an aunt of mine who was an SBM employee. And it has been amazingly reliable thus far, including with foreign usage.

    Also... Not sorry about having an account with SBI.

    SBI is still the second best nationalised bank after PNB, despite all of its issues. And they are better than some private banks, such as ICICI (really), DBS, HSBC, and Cosmos (which claims to be a co-op, but really is an undemocratic big private player).

    I have an account with PNB. Father has one account with ICICI and another with SBI. I always found him struggling with NetBanking and credit card related issues with SBI but not with ICICI. The YONO app for SBI is sometimes very frustrating too. It might differ from branch to branch, but as a general rule of thumb I think you pay for what you get. Private banks may be evil but you get your money's worth with them

    Fair enough. However, I would recommend that your dad use Yono SBI Lite instead of Yono SBI. Meanwhile, I don't use it at all. I use SBI netbanking on mobile via Firefox (in private browsing mode).

    Jesus chirst. It is very worrying the control that people have over your own shit. At the end of the day I wouldn't be too hard in this instance as I'm sure they have stopped a lot of vulnerable people from getting scammed, but also, it's obviously a normal company.. lmao.

    I honestly don't blame SBI for taking the steps that they did, given the prevalence of UPI-related scams in this steaming shit-heap of a country. They also restored that service after one branch visit. And even if I was out of town, their 24/7 helpline would have also helped unlock the service.

    Yeah, basically what my thought is. Annoying? Yes. Inconvenient? Also yes. But also it's good that they have strong safeguards because if you were getting scammed it would've been prevented.
