What you think people sell you a 8gb ram phone with perfect specs for 400 euros and you go damn, there's no catch?

Brother, it's a common fact that flagship has their best stuff they can offer, budget phone is budget for a reason, they need to cut it somewhere and they cut it in performance

Though it depends what you need your phone for as well.

I use my phone daily for my personal stuff and work and I've never been happier with my S23 Ultra.

Sure if you don’t use your phone much and don’t really care, go for a 300 euro phone.

I'd still 9/10 buy a flagship and save myself the hussle.

Because they have a longer support than a budget anyways IIRC dunno if that changed, might be wrong here.

 

Idk if really depends what you need it for and if you even care.

For example I work 10h a day, use my phone constantly, and I come home with like 65-70% battery left.

In no world that happens in a budget. They sell you the dreams with the specs.

You just might not care and go for a budget anyways but for example S23 base vs A54 the difference is night and day and the price is like 150 euros difference. These 150 difference IMO isn't much and you are getting overall a better experience and a phone.

I have nothing against if you buy a budget phone, but simply saying the flagship is a scam...it isn't really. If I compare my phone to brothers, man....the difference is noticable.

Yeah. That's why I want to move away from this fukken brand. Unfortunately, they're one of only three brands that have what I am looking for.

Flagships do have issued, mate. I mean... You get what you pay for, but that doesn't mean you won't have issues down the line. My sister is using a Samsung flagship for the past three years and is currently having major issues. Meanwhile, my brother-in-law's Euro 300 Samsung - which is just as old - is just dandy.

^ This. The A51 I have now is my third Android smartphone and is currently in its fifth year of usage. My first Android was a lower mid range Sony, and I used it for four years without issue (except one, which was my fault). My second was a budget LG which I used for five years, and it only died on me after a severe fall onto solid stone pavement.

Meanwhile, my iPhone and Samsung flagship using sister has changed smartphones twice as much as I have during the same time period.

This is obvious. As I said: you do get what you paid for. My brother-in-law used a Samsung flagship for seven years before he got his current one.

The issue here is not just of flagships offering more for the price. It is of ridiculous indirect taxes, levies, and unequal exchange between the global north and global south that makes flagships ludicrously expensive here.

A Euro 800 flagship may seem affordable to you in the f@cking EU. But it costs INR 80k here. After adjusting for PPP (and not just blindly converting from Euro to INR or vice-versa) the equivalent price in Germany would be Euro 3000 (three thousand!). Even the S23FE would be the equivalent of Euro 1800 after PPP.

My Galaxy A51 was considered quite underpowered in the CPU department (for its price bracket) even at the time of its release in December 2019. And now it is in its fifth year of usage. I get by. And that is despite having an AV in it running in the background. And, yes, I have an anti-virus software running in my phone.

Refer my rant about unequal exchange and PPP above. Euro 500-550 for you may not be much. But for us here it would be equivalent to someone in Germany forking out Euro 1875 to 2060.

Yeah on paper they have a 5000mah battery, in theory the chip on my Ultra bodies A54 and doesn't drain my battery as fast.

Battery capacity is a meme bro, it's the system and stuff how it handles the battery. It all sounds well and dandy when you read how both have 5000mah battery and then you see the difference in battery drain kek

As I said I am so impressed seeing my battery on 70% when for whole 10 hours I listen to spotify and having by bluetooth on, and chatting in between breaks.

S23 is simply better due to having s snapdragon instead of exynos. That's worth the price IMO.

Idk I never had problems with a flagship and Samsung, they are my favorites.
