    Netflix management needs the Cuban revolution treatment, honestly.

    It would be within character for those execs to demand usage of some AI backwards aging shenanigans. Oda would likely hate it, though. I know most mangaka and anime big-names do.

    You laugh, but South Indians make movies with 70 year-olds playing college students in their 20s. I am not joking and not exaggerating.

    @Gobb

    Bro, I fukking hate Easy anti-cheat. The latest update to it causes games to crash if you minimise them or alt-tab to another app. I then have to kill them in task manager or via the game client, then relaunch them.

    And they have the gall to blame game engines themselves for these crashes. The issue has occurred on titles using Blam Engine (Halo MCC), Unreal engine series, CryEngine series, and so many others. When said games are enabled without Easy anti-cheat (for playing offline with mods and with cheats/trainers) the crashing issues go away.

    Also, it gets worse.

    Easy anti-cheat does not do a spectacular job of weeding out cheaters in online games. Players on Halo MCC and Halo Infinite multiplayer can attest to this. It has also sometimes flagged legitimate players for cheating and auto-banned them, including some actually very famous players. Thankfully, 343i/Halo-Studios actually give a damn about their fandom and these false bans have been overturned within literally half a day after an e-mail complaint; they sometimes even throw in some goodies as an apology. However, imagine if it was a shite studio or publisher which wasn't so fan-friendly? What recourse do fans have, then?

    I feel like 9/10 times anti-cheat and drm only ever hurts legitimate paying customers and players.

    They do.

    I myself have been affected, actually. I was once locked out of the official Halo MCC LASO playlists and unable to get achievements for finishing them because Easy anti-cheat thought I used a trainer to finish them. I was pissed because they are some of the most difficult slogs (really) in all of gaming; there are even USD 10k to 20k prizes on offer by prominent gaming youtubers for finishing the Halo LASO playlists with zero deaths.

    I appealed to Steam and Microsoft Gaming and they thankfully let me back in. They even gave me the required medals.

    One of those medals has a hilarious name, by the way:

    why do this to yourself.PNG

    "Why do this to yourself?" XD

    Yes. It is that difficult on LASO. The devs want to know what kind of masochist puts themselves through all that suffering.

    I absolutely never want to do that shit ever again. I still have PTSD from some of the shit that happened to me during these slogs.

    Goodnight, th0t.
