    No it's not. It's perfectly okay to outright suspend belief in something for which there is zero evidence of existence. If someone said "You can't prove unicorns don't exist", you'd think they were nuts. Switching burden of proof over to prove that something doesn't exist when there is zero evidence for its existence to begin with is just an immature little defence mechanism.

    They should have upgraded in the previous decade itself. But red tape and all that fine stuff got in the way. Even the Vajpayee government deserves a lot of the blame for IAF's current state. They kept on criticizing the previous regimes for this shit but did nothing themselves.

    we have to replace 87 MiG 27 and 245 MiG 21[we got both in 60's and 70's]

    currently around 36 Dassault rafael[2019-2022];around 120 tejas[2023-2024];50 something Su 30MKI[till 2020] are on order while RFI for 114 single engine fighter either Saab Gripen E or F16 Block 70/72 is to be issued and we will get first squadran in 2022.

    in a nutshell we are fcked for next 5 years
