By the way, seen the news about Muthalik? The Indian Judiciary once again proving that they've become f@cking stupid. I had held out some hope after a string of idiotic judgements in 2013-14. But it seems there really is no hope for them. All the smart and forward thinking judges are either retired or dead.

 

i remember the case after google search few goons beat up women in pub accusing them of loose char under BJP gov in karnataka in 2009

its an irony how we call India our mother but can't even prosecute those who attack our mothers and sisters

 

Let me give you a summary:

1. Pramod Muthalik's Ram Sena - 50 men attack a handful of girls at a pub. Beat them up and even molest two of them. The entire thing is caught on film. Muthalik later gives TV interviews admitting that his organization did indeed carry out the act and stated he would do so again. He also said that it was "not as bad as an actual rape" and that beating women is "not against Indian culture". Yes, he said that shit. He really did.

2. After the BJP comes to power in Karnataka and Yeddyurappa becomes Chief Minister, dozens of cases against Muthalik and Ram Sena members (relating to the pub attack case and dozens of other attacks) dropped.

3. After a huge public outcry, Pramod Muthalik banned from ever entering the city of Mangalore and numerous cases filed against him and the Ram Sena. Contests against BJP in elections. Loses horribly.

4. Muthalik joins BJP in 2014. Kicked out of party just weeks later.

5. Muthalik and a few dozen other Ram Sena members go on trial in the pub attack case. Despite video of the attack and admissions by Muthalik on live TV, Muthalik and 24 other Ram Sena members are acquitted.

F@ck this country's courts. F@ck them.

I forgot to add this little detail:
The victims of the attack were not even produced in court. They refused to testify as there were too scared. They'd apparently been receiving threats since 2010. The prosecution and law enforcement couldn't even give them adequate protection throughout the trial period.
