    I mean, their stuff wouldn't sell if it had shit art, so they got good art when they switch to manga. Case-in-point Meth who now does Elf-san wa Yaserarenai.

    I feel like so many series suffer from this.

    It might have at first, not sure about now. This series is legit being carried by characters and art, that's my take on it.
    This pretty much, it's slowly going downhill with every chapter. It's just boring, no sense of danger, heck this situation they're in almost feels forced. There's no tension at all. But yes, Azami fucked it up bad.

    Anime and then manga, for sure.

    That said, fair enough. But what's the point of Soma beating the big boys right now, legit? What'll be left afterwards, then? I always looked forward to Soma taking the first seat, but truth is, he should've lost Hayama that second time too.

    For me, the series almost feels like its setting up for its conclusion with just how everything is being set up, since like you said the big boys are up to bat and there's a lot of important things at stake. If not I'm sure there will be more opportunities for Souma to lose and grow

    Eh I disagree, Hayama deserved that L. He disregarded Jun's opinion and took the easy way out by becoming one of Azami's dogs. It would not have been good for his character if he won and continued down that path
