    It's childish, trivial and it makes no sense. It's one thing to admire and acknowledge Luffy, but she freezes up and gets all excited from just him talking. Boa has no reason to fall in love with Luffy.... like at all, and the way Oda tries to keep showing this is a joke. Almost to the point where it's annoying. Luffy being typical Luffy expresses his view points about the government and the Tenryuubitos, and then all a sudden we have this love struck idiot over here, getting wet and falling for nonsense. She is basically like Juvia from Fairy Tail. She can't control herself when it comes to the person that she loves, so she starts acting stupid without actually thinking "hey, why do I actually love this person?"

    She's nothing but Luffy's cheerleader and Luffy doesn't see her as nothing more than a friend.

    Not to mention I never really liked Boa anyway, so there could be some bias there.
