    Genocidal **** says what?

I saw this shit first hand in many rural areas, where some people were complaining endlessly about food prices.

One farmer in rural east Bangalore - who is a distant relative of mine, actually - said mangoes and apples are unaffordable for many families in rural areas right now. He was complaining about how INR 150 was enough to feed his family for a day when Modi came to power (and that included fruit). Now you need INR 200 per day for one person in urban India (that's the daily wages of a labourer under MGNREGA worker in rural North India) and INR 100-150 per person in rural India.

For an NREGA worker earning INR 200-300 per day with an entire family to feed, that's ******* unreasonable.

There was overall cheaper food and better food security under Manmohan Singh. I recall in 2013 being able to eat a light breakfast comfortably for just INR 20 (two idlis + one uddin vada + tea), a heavy fruit platter for brunch at the same price, a nice lunch for INR 40-50 (one plate palav or biriyani or rasam rice + two bajjis + majjige/chaas), evening tea and snacks for INR 20 (few pieces of onion pakodas or one masala puri at INR 15 + tea at INR 5), and dinner again for INR 40-50 (two aloo parathas or one bowl veg noodles + lassi). That's INR 150 for the whole day. And that was in not-so-cheap eateries in North Bangalore, which is one of the most expensive Indian cities to live and eat in, and it was all in New BEL Road - a stone's throw from the headquarters of ISRO and the residence of the Chief Minister and the Indian Air Force Training Command HQ. So imagine how much cheaper it was in the likes of Majestic in Bangalore central area and rural Karnataka.

Prices under Modi have risen 2-3 fold in just six years (May 2014 to March 2020, just before the first lockdown). It took the full term of Vajpayee (1999 to 2004) and two terms of Manmohan Singh (2004 to 2014) to see a similar price increase.

I don't know what kind of bullshit methods Modi and Sitharaman and that useless RBI yes-man governor are using to calculate our present inflation rates. But price rises under Modi have actually been roughly 1.8 times the rate of average price rises under Vajpayee and MMS. That's why they revised the Cost Inflation Index table back in 2017. It was to mask their bullshittery.

Honestly what I should do is support her freedom of speech and normalise making fun of religion but seeing her past and the shitshow her party has turned this country into its pretty nice to see them bending in front of their Gulf overlords

They've crossed all bounds of freedom of speech and decent political discourse. These people deserve to have the crap kicked out of them and tossed in prison for the rest of their miserable lives. I'm against the death penalty. These assholes need to spend the rest of their lives in solitary confinement.
    Show Spoiler

And, as extra special punishment, they get one TV with only NDTV and nothing else :los

On other hand it's pretty funny to see this pathetic cronies masquerading as government trying to put out the fire that has been started by their own sycophants while the same sycophants are wondering why is action being taken against them.

Also what's ironic is countries with some of the worst human right records are calling and cornering us shows how low have we fallen

We've fallen really low indeed. Our respect on the global stage is shot.

I have Hindutva relatives in the US who think Modi has made India a banana Republic.
