[MUST READ] Sugoi Desu Relaunch Announcement. [08/22/15]

Well, we’ve made it this far. And it’s definitely thanks to everyone of you. First things first, I figure it’s appropriate to apologize about the SD downtime that’s been going on for about a day and a half. This is because we had to go through some maintenance regarding @Shirou gaining full license to XenForo and also upgrading to XenForo 1.5, which will be addressed in this announcement.

The new features in XenForo 1.5 include:

A few words from @Flów ...


Alongside the maintenance and updates that has occurred, there has been a slight change that has been made to the staff team to accommodate for the absence of one such member, who will be gone for some time. This alteration towards the staff team will only be temporary until the void of absence is filled, in which instance, all previous positions will be assumed.

Another thing that should be addressed is the development of the RP we were bringing to SD. Due to unforeseen circumstances, as well as some discussion between the developers and the staff, we've decided to halt the development until all the big and main changes to the forum are made. However, I will personally be doing some re-evaluation of the RP system we've managed to build so far, and will be taking steps to ensure that any problems that exist in the current system will be taken care of before development is continued. For the time being, the RP section has been taken off SD and will be undergoing modifications along with the RP system.


Now, for something that I'm sure many of you have been waiting to hear about. The 18+ section. It's come to our attention that with the addition of new members, there has been an increase in the amount of...mature content in, but not limited to, posts and threads. This is no issue by any means. As opposed to other forums, which draw the line how far things can go, there will be a section dedicated to the needs of such individuals. Of course, it will be age-restricted, and will have other securities set in place so as to ensure that only those eligible to enter such a section will be going in and out. This is, by no means, a place without rules, but anything considered too mature for the main forum will be overlooked in the 18+ section.

Regarding the staff changes,


I, @Kagerou will be replacing Shirou as head admin for the time he is gone.


@Mahesvara will be second in-charge.


@Flów will be an admin during this time.


Keeping in mind the obvious hint, this is all temporary. It will revert back to its normal state when @Shirou gets everything together.


Also, we would just like to say a few words of thanks to Mason.


He has worked on the current SD homepage, My List (Showcase), profile covers, maintenance and fixed any errors that may conflict the forum. He’s probably done even more things that I wouldn’t be able to list. Keeping in mind all he’s done, we are really glad and fortunate to have someone like him on the team.


Once again, SD! truly appreciates all the support it’s been getting. Both to the staff and the members, we sincerely give our gratitude for supporting us for the past 8-9 months.
