Normal Game Thread Big Trouble in Little Salem

We had two one shots (myself, wowee) and we didn't use faction kill D1 cos we didn't know we even had one lol and had no idea what shinto's role was since he was uber MIA.

Nobody noticed Prada hinted traitor in the end so once we made contact and he relayed info he got from Ratchet and how Ratchet doubted Quick's claim due to his own role I went with the gamble to force a mislynch on Quick to avoid dealing with Ratchet's defenses. (the other option was have Quick support a Ratchet lynch since he had more or less a town read on Prada and Maple would've likely supported it too...)

I'm much more happy with this first setup, and am disappointed that I messed it up lol.

 

I was right about Ratchet tho. That was a hard read to make, honestly.

 

I think this game would have been more fair if I bumped it up to 17 p, turned the traitor into a full member, and changed the 1shot nightvig into xshot dayvig or just a vigilante. Additionally, change the JK to just a doctor to make up for that change. Something along those lines.

Both our roles were basically "there's a hidden assassin traitor, but you don't know each other's identities"
so once he mentioned traitor I was like well, hello there... /pm
was worried it was bait but in the end it worked out lol

 

Traitor works well in a 15 p game. I just think Scum had way to much killing power.

You had to mislynch 4 days in a row to end the game, the killing power on scum's side was fine

 

we picked you cos good player and bimbo cos very neutral and unknown factor

it was a toss up between you and ratchet tho but at the time we weighed the chance of some sort of protection so the choice flipped more to you than him.

D1 Lynch on Town, NK on Town 9 Town remaining
D2 Lynch on Town, NK on Town, Day vig on Town, 6 Town remaining
D3 Lynch on Town, NK on Town, Game over

Game over by D4 and that's without a vig shooting Town or the other Scum kill.

 

I got it wrong mostly and I thought of the possibility of me being shot by town vig :/

 

How's this for math;

D1, almost lynched scum (Prada), ended in mislynch
D2, almost lynched scum (Prada again), ended in mislynch
Shinto at that point was obvious, could've gotten him down.
So could've easily gone, 10 v 3 d1, 7v2 d2 ...
Then if mislynches and shit happened 4v2 d3
and that's not accounting for Ratchet or Maple with their kills. And at a 4v2 d3 if Maple and Ratchet crippled us it'd be GG.

So really don't blame the mafia kills, blame the fact that town leaders weren't focused whatsoever. Ningen was blatantly town being brash or rudely arrogant doesn't make someone out as mafia.

Not even going to mention the role claiming/OGC/talking to dead players for info...

Town had plenty of opportunities to win, let's be honest here.

 

tfw if Ningen wasn't lynched he had the power to push 3 mafia to the grave.

 

I went into Day 4 fairly confident that Quick was Town and Falcon was Scum, due in part to my believe that Quick was incompetent rather than malicious and in part because Falcon's claim contained several flaws (I was not the ideal candidate for his action, poutanko was; his immediate result broke with everyone else's role, and no that wouldn't have made his role "useless" because Coroner is one of the strongest investigate roles in the game; and he claimed his restriction was that he couldn't use it until Day 3, but he claimed to first use it on Day 4), and relatively confident that Ratchet would catch onto all this as well, but by the time Day 4 was wrapping up, I was really unsure of myself. Quick's rambling, incoherent defense is really what finalized Mafia victory here.
