The police in Karnataka beat the crap out of people opening up their stores (unless it was an essential service) and also forcibly dispersed large gatherings. This is the first time I've been in support of that kind of brutal police crackdown.

When tiger shark numbers began plummeting around Hawaii, it had a drastic effect on the whole Hawaiian archipelago. Smaller reef shark species (such as grey reef sharks, whitetip reef sharks, blacktip reef sharks) boomed and literally ate themselves out of house & home; the whole Hawaiian reef ecosystem collapsed.

With tiger shark numbers recovering, the Hawaiian reefs are also slowly recovering.

Unfortunately, the shark is threatened in other parts of the world due to hunting for its liver.
